Back to the blog
It seems that I only write on this blog once every two years. Anyhow, I am going to use the blog to compact my thoughts about my current research in one single and public place. Currently, I am a postdoc fellow at Simon Fraser University and I have been doing research on visual analytics, combining methods and theoretical frameworks from the social sciences: grounded theory (Anselm Strauss) and joint action theory (Herbert H. Clark). I am adding different pages to the different research topics I am currently exploring now. One page for STS perspectives on visualizations of abstract data. Another page for ethnographic research on emergency management. And, one last page for an evolving theory-methods package to study visual analytic reasoning that combines methods from sociology and psycholinguistic.
